In short

LifeLoop is built to run locally: your photos, projects and settings stay on your device. We run no servers and there is no user account, so you can delete your data yourself, completely and at any time – no request needed.

How to delete your data yourself

  1. Individual content: Open the project or series in the app and choose “Delete”. This permanently removes the related photos, notes and settings from the app's private storage.
  2. All app data: Uninstall LifeLoop, or clear its storage under Android Settings → Apps → LifeLoop → Storage → “Clear storage”. This removes all of the app's local data from the device.
  3. Google Drive backup (if connected): Delete the backup in the app under Settings → Backup, or revoke LifeLoop's access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com. Backups live in your own Google account's app-data folder; we have no access to them.
  4. Anonymous statistics: Turn collection off under Settings → Data & Privacy. This data holds no personal identifiers (see table).

Requesting deletion

You can also request deletion by e-mail. Write to schweizerlemail@gmail.com with the subject “Deletion request LifeLoop”. Because your content lives solely on your device (and, if enabled, in your own Google Drive), we have no access to it and will guide you through the steps above; for the anonymous statistics we will, where technically possible, arrange deletion with the provider. We usually respond within 30 days.

What is deleted and what is retained

Data typeWhere it livesDeletion / retention
Photos, projects, series, notes, app settings On your device only (private app storage) Deleted immediately when you delete the project, clear app storage or uninstall. We keep no copy and retain nothing.
Google Drive backup (optional) Your own Google account's app-data folder Deletable by you at any time in the app or in your Google account. We have no access and retain nothing.
Purchase status (Pro unlocked) Locally on the device; payments handled by Google Play Deleted locally with the app. We neither receive nor store payment data. Purchase records are kept by Google Play under its own retention policy.
Usage statistics (Aptabase, EU-hosted) – only with consent Aptabase (EU) Contain no advertising or device IDs, no cross-app tracking, and nothing from your photos, project names or notes. Aptabase derives a pseudonymous identifier from your IP address, user agent and a daily-rotating random value; we cannot link it to you, which also means individual deletion is not technically possible. Aptabase states it retains this data for up to five years. Nothing is transmitted without your consent; withdraw anytime in Settings.
Crash reports (Sentry, EU region) – only with the same consent Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) Technical details of the error (message, stack trace, device model, app version). No screenshots, no screen contents; file paths to your photos are stripped before sending. Retained under Sentry's own policy (90 days by default). Nothing is transmitted without consent; withdraw anytime in Settings.

Statutory retention obligations (e.g. tax/commercial-law records for Google Play purchase receipts) remain unaffected; such records are held by the respective store, not by us.
